When to travel with a check-in luggage?
I am a huge advocate for traveling with carry-on only. But lately, I have found myself needing extra space for some of my travels.
So, when do I travel with a check-in luggage?
When I’m going on a ski – or snowboarding – trip.
Snowboarding pants, jacket, gloves, and boots can take up the majority space of your suitcase if you are traveling only with a carry-on. Unless of course, that’s all you want to bring.
When I’m going to the Caribbean.
I’m a certified diver; and when I travel to the Caribbean, diving is a must. However, diving equipment like snorkel, mask, and wetsuit take up a lot of space, not to mention, my fins; they don’t fit in any of my carry-on suitcases.
When I’m traveling with photography gears.
Most of the time, I travel very light when it comes to photography equipment. But there are occasions when a tripod, extra cameras, and lenses are necessary. My adventure, shooting the untamed nature of Iceland, wouldn’t have been the same without my photography equipment.
Enters AWAY suitcase: Affordability Meets Thoughtful Design.
After doing some research, I discovered The Medium AWAY suitcase.
What sold me on it:
The compression system
I can finally bid farewell to sitting on suitcases to zip it. What a wonderful time we live in. All you need to do is buckle down the compression pad and voila! Clothes magically compressed.
Attachable laundry bag
When traveling, I usually take with me a few plastic bags in order to separate the dirty laundry. But sometimes, I forget to bring them. I end up scrambling through the hotel room, looking for bags. Now, I don’t have to. AWAY luggage comes with its own laundry bag.
The AWAY suitcase is ultra lightweight – I mean, who needs the extra weight? Some may find it flimsy but, their polycarbonate shell is actually flexible by design and very, very durable.
If you are looking to upgrade your check-in suitcase, check out AWAY luggage.
A very big thank to AWAY for sending me their awesome suitcase.
