How To Pack The Perfect Carry On Capsule Wardrobe For Fall

How To Pack The Perfect Carry On Capsule Wardrobe For Fall

I have been loving packing capsule wardrobes on my travels. With only a few core essentials pieces, you can create many different outfits - without running the risk of looking like you are wearing the same thing over and over. It also stops you from overpacking. Instead of taking pieces that you think you are going to need, you plan the different outfits and decide then what you need. This way, you pack less and spend less time getting dressed - which means more time exploring!

I have partnered with Anatomie to create this fall capsule wardrobe, to showcase their travel-friendly clothing line! They have clothes for every season of the year but for this blog post, let's show you how to pack for fall. If you don't know about Anatomie, they are a luxury fashion brand that designs clothing with style-meets-function in mind. Their clothing pieces are wrinkle-free, comfortable, super lightweight, and versatile - perfect for taking on your travels! They were also very kind to offer my readers 15% OFF when you use code: DIANA15.

I love traveling in the fall when the three leaves start to change, and the weather is perfect for cute jackets and cozy sweaters. I live in Miami, so I will take any chance I get to show off my cold-weather outfit! - and by cold, I mean temperature under 70 F because that's what Miami people think is cold.

Carry On Capsule Wardrobe For Fall

The Carry-On Capsule Wardrobe For Fall

The trick to packing the perfect carry-on capsule wardrobe is to select pieces that go well together, not only in style but in colors as well. I like to pack very neutrals and maybe add a pop of color or pattern.

This fall capsule wardrobe is perfect for a week trip, or two if you can do laundry.

For the perfect fall capsule wardrobe for carry-on, you are going to need the following pieces:

  • 5 Tops

  • 2 Jackets

  • 1 Sweater

  • 2 Pair of pants

  • 1 Maxi skirt or Leggings

  • 1 Dress or jumpsuit

  • 2 Pair of shoes

  • 2 Scarfs

  • 1 Pair of Sneakers

  • 1 Pair of more "elegant shoes" that you could wear day or night (i.e. booties, mule, or low-heel shoes)

Clothing

Long Sleeve Top – You will need a long sleeve top to add a bit of "put together" touch to your outfit. You can pair them with pants, skirt, or jeans, add a jacket and you are good to go!

Black Tee – A black tee is a classic, and you can pair it with anything. Anatomie Charlotte v-neck travel tee is perfect as the fabric is wrinkle-free, and the slight v-neck takes the basic black tee to the next level! There's also the Melissa Tee if you prefer crew-neck.

White Tee - Same as the black tee, a white tee can be paired with anything. The Anatomie Melissa Tee and Charlotte v-neck also come in white.

Utility Jacket – They are the perfect jacket to pack for your travels as they are super versatile. You can wear it on the plane, during the day, or at night. The Kenya Cozy jacket is my favorite from Anatomie! It's fleece-lined, so it feels soft, slim fit, and very flattering.

Jacket - In addition to a utility jacket, make sure to pack an additional jacket to mix it up a bit. Depending on where you go and your itinerary, you can select a more classic one or sporty.

Dress or Nice Jumpsuit - Pack a nice dress or jumpsuit that you can dress up to go out at night, or dress down for a day of sightseeing.

Striped Top or Any Other Pattern– Add a classic pattern to your capsule wardrobe to spice it up a bit. Style it with a pair of jeans or white pants and a jacket.

Maxi Skirt or Leggings - Depending on your style, I recommend including a maxi skirt or a pair of leggings. Anatomie's Aida Fleece Lined leggings may feel like cozy pajamas, but they definitely, don't look so. The leggings will keep you much warmer than a regular pair.

Sweater – Pack a light sweater to add a bit of variety to your fall capsule wardrobe. You could either go with a bold or neutral color.

Black Pants – You can't go wrong with a pair of black pants. You can dress it up for dinner, or anywhere that may not appreciate you showing up in jeans.

Jeans or Pants (that's not black) – Pack an additional pair of pants or jeans that's not black to add variety to your capsule wardrobe.

As you can see, all the pieces of clothing could be easily mixed and matched. To keep everything organized, make sure to use packing cubes. Anatomie’s clothes won’t wrinkle so you can roll them without worrying about getting your clothes wrinkled.

Accessories

Scarfs - A scarf is one of those accessories that give you an instant put-together look. Pack two different colors, I recommend a gray and a beige scarf.

Shoes - For your fall carry-on capsule wardrobe, white sneakers - they go well with everything - and a pair of nicer shoes like mule, boots, or nice flats.
