What to Pack For Barcelona in October 2025
Barcelona’s style is effortlessly chic, mixing comfort with personality. By fall, locals swap light linens for warmer layers like midi skirts, pants, and jeans making their comeback. You’ll also see light jackets, sweaters, and versatile dresses paired with boots or sneakers. This packing guide is perfect for mid October through mid November, when the city shifts into cooler, crisper days.
Weather in Barcelona
From mid October to mid November, Barcelona feels mild and comfortable. Daytime highs usually sit between 64 and 70°F, while evenings dip to the low 50s, so you’ll want a light jacket. Sunshine still shows up most days, but you’ll notice more clouds and a few passing showers as fall settles in. The sea cools off to the mid 60s, still swimmable for the brave, but most people enjoy seaside walks instead.
Quick Barcelona Wear Guide:
Daytime: Mild and comfortable. Go for pants, jeans, long skirts, or dresses with light layers you can add or remove.
Evenings: Cooler. Bring a jacket or sweater, especially for nights out or seaside strolls.
Rain-wise: Showers are more common, so a compact umbrella or light rain jacket is smart to have.
Beach: The sea is cooler. Pack swimwear if you don’t mind a brisk dip, but most people stick to beach walks.
What to Pack for Barcelona: Clothes
October in Barcelona brings cooler, pleasant days, perfect for exploring. Locals keep it casual but polished, often layering light sweaters or a jacket over simple outfits. Try pairing a nice top with jeans or pants, dress up casual pieces with accessories, or balance a chic dress with sneakers or boots. A jacket will be a must, especially in the evenings.
Tip: Choose tops and bottoms that mix and match easily so you can create different looks without overpacking. The pieces I’ve selected work together to give you plenty of outfit options.

Pack comfortable shoes that you can walk all day! My recommendation is to pack two to three pairs of shoes but no more. Make sure to at least pack one pair of comfortable sneakers and one pair comfortable low heel boots or flats.

Best Travel Luggage - Tried and Tested
I’ve been using Away luggage for almost ten years and have taken it all over the world. I’ve dragged it over countless cobblestones, stuffed it to the brim, and it’s still incredibly durable. The zipper holds strong, the wheels roll smoothly, and all three of my Away suitcases are still in great condition. Pair it with packing cubes to stay organized. If you are traveling with carry-on only, get the compressing packing cubes. I have the Away Carryon and the Away Medium Luggage.
For a personal bag, I recommend the Dagne Dover Landon in Medium. It fits perfectly under the seat, has a luggage sleeve that slides securely onto the Away carry-on, is super lightweight, and easy to wash. I love it so much I convinced my friend Christie, also a travel blogger, to get one. Now she takes it everywhere too. Another favorite is the Longchamp Le Pliage. It’s incredibly lightweight and holds a ton. While it doesn’t have a luggage sleeve, I simply slip the handles over my suitcase handle and it works perfectly. Honorable mention goes to the Longchamp Le Pliage L Travel Bag. I love packing it in my carry-on in case I shop and can’t fit everything in my luggage. It’s so lightweight and compact that it adds no extra weight.
